OUTLINE: A motivational refresher to keep you on track and on task
REVIEW: Zig Ziglar keeps you on your goals in an excitable manner. In the book there is a focus on maintaining your drive but only for what is right for you. There is a section that focuses on the positive use of language that, no doubt, would be heavily endorsed by NLP experts, and how this is especially important for people at/in a developing age/environment. The book is divided into 3 sections with Zig Ziglar taking section 1 and 3. Section 2, by Larry Iverson, looks at pre-visualisation, a mental rehearsal method used commonly by professional athletes. What’s good about this book is that they guide you through a pre-visualisation exercise rather than just discuss the topic, great if you’ve never done it before.
The authors continually recommend listening to the book 16 times in total so that it totally sinks in. Your choice I suppose!
